I've been so busy since my last post, which was on the 19th. Since then, my family has come home (yay!), and I've spent 20 hours in the car driving back and forth from Milwaukee for work (boo!).
The weight fluxuations have been UNBELIEVABLE. Seriously. On Sunday, Jan 20, I weight 163 pounds. I drove to Milwaukee that afternoon because I knew I wouldn't be able to make it on time on Monday (plus the fact that I'm not a morning person). I was sad to go as I hadn't even had 24 hours with my family, but it had to be done. Anyway, not a terribly exciting week, per se. Lots of training, lots of sitting, not a whole lot of eating, but I could tell that my clothes kept getting looser with every passing day. By the time I got home on Thursday night I weight 144 pounds....that's a 19 pound difference!!! And I lost another 4 on Friday.
So I know you're all wondering what I did different. Truth? Not a damn thing...unless you count wearing compression stockings for 3 days...but that doesn't squeeze the water out. I have no idea what the hell happened, why it was different and so drastic (and how I can duplicate it when I need to in the future ;).
This past week, I went to Milwaukee again. I got back last night and had gained 15 pounds back. Skin is elastic, thankfully, but at some point this is going to take it's toll. I was telling Joacim last night that I feel like I look older than 38, and I blame these damn beans. Look at pictures of people suffering from kidney disease, ESRD or on dialysis....it's not pretty. Ashen, washed out, sunken faces..that's what I'm scared of. So to make myself feel better today, I got my tan sprayed on. MUCH better outlook now (even though it's snowing and around 3 degrees outside right now).
My ass hurts. I sat on it for 14 solid hours yesterday, and probably 5 more today. Ugh....this body needs some serious hot yoga. Too bad there's no place in the area that offers it except Lifetime fitness, and I'm just not willing to make that financial commitment since I never know how I'm going to feel. Guess I'll just stick with a sprayed-on tan and massages (of which I'm spoiling myself with a 90-minute one tomorrow....yippee!!!)
Okay, gotta go. Family's going to be home any minute now, and I'm sick of looking at this screen. Maybe I'll finally get a chance to take my Christmas tree down this weekend. Then again, maybe I'll just wait another week and enjoy a Saturday for a change. Have a great weekend folks!
